PSYCHOANALYTIC PSYCHOTHERAPIST

AM I WHAT YOU
ARE LOOKING FOR
IN A THERAPIST?

We seek psychotherapy when we encounter difficulties in living which seem to be frustratingly stubborn and persistent. We worry, think and try to change,
but a time sometimes comes when we feel the need to talk it over in the hope of finding relief or understanding.

‘Psychotherapy’ is the generic name for all ‘psychological’ or talking treatments for personal and mental distress.
Within this overall group there are a number of different ways of working.
The evidence shows that the main psychological treatments are all effective in bringing about change for the better, but it does not demonstrate that any one treatment is more effective than the others. The decisive factor is to find a good, qualified therapist who you believe you can work with.

However, you may have an idea which sort of method attracts you the most.
